Rough Country 2.5" Upper Ball Joints

Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket ball joint that will work with the upper control arm on the RC 2.5" lift? I had read the Moog K6540 were the ones but they were too small. I have read where someone used the Moog K6696 but I can't tell if it was the exact same arm that ...

The shackles and towing don't mix. Hobie's shifted and rubbed the driveshaft on the fuel tank skid. The 2" body lift has many advantages for these trucks.

Why are you replacing yours?

If it is the weight of that V-8, I would suggest "clocked keys", 2" SL keys, Rough Country lift keys, etc... Add the fullsize bump stops if you have not already. They are suspension dampners and assist the spring in the lower ranges of compression.

Watch for funny tire wear and handling with the one ton arm. With the arm alone watch the frame for cracking. Miles had horrible problems with his.

I think you made the right choice going with an OEM equivalent to maintain the geometry.

Camaro Z28 rims!

The back spacing is 4.5" better than spacers up front.

If you do a google search for blazers with Z28 rims you will see it is a fairly popular upgrade.

Re: New Rough Country 2.5 lift

yeah it would be nice if they get it figured out cause then would have a much cheeper lift option if u run a 2 inch body lift and this 2.5 inch lift u could get allmost 5 inches which would be alot cheeper than buying the BDS or the superlift kits

Re: New Rough Country 2.5 lift

That kit does have a diff drop bracket. It looks like it drops the diff about an inch. It also has shocks and new control arms. Not the old kit at all. I am waiting to hear some reviews.

New Rough Country 2.5 lift

Hey guys I was looking around and noticed that rough country redesigned their lift for the crews. now they include diff drop brackets with the kit to help with the cv angles. perhaps this kit might be looking in to now..what do you think?
