Surging RPMS when Air Conditioning is turned on

Post by OrlandoSonomazr5 »

Anyone else ever experience a Problem with RPMs surging when Air Conditioning is turned on and at Idle. It almost wants to shut the truck off but then rebounds. I notice the timing goes way out of wack when it happens, the Distributor is new and its a bolt in style so no adjustment allowed.

Any Ideas or thoughts.

Your AC compressor may be bad and when you turn the AC on its putting too much stress on the engine and its trying to overcome it. My aunts trailblazer had ceased bearings on the compressor and when you would turn the AC on the engine would drop to 500rpm and then die.
Knowledge has no value unless its shared with others.
